Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform that helps creators raise money to support the development of a project or product. People (called “backers”) can pledge money to support a project and, in return, may receive a “reward”—in this case, a copy of Magic Number. Kickstarter operates on an all-or-nothing model: if a project doesn't reach its funding goal by the end of the campaign, no money is collected, and the project doesn't move forward.

We decided to launch Magic Number on Kickstarter because Kickstarter will allow us to raise the funds needed to manufacture Magic Number. The manufacturer we are working with has a minimum order quantity of 1,500 units, meaning that we must pay for all these units up front, even if we’re not sure we’ll be able to sell them all. Launching Magic Number on Kickstarter helps us to minimize our financial risk and lets you become one of the first people to get your own copy of Magic Number!

1) Pre-Launch Phase
Magic Number will stay in a pre-launch stage until around 200 people have expressed their interest in backing Magic Number on Kickstarter by clicking the “Notify me on launch button”. If and when that happens, the Magic Number Kickstarter campaign will officially launch.

2) The Kickstarter Campaign
Once the Kickstarter campaign officially launches, you will be able to pledge your support for Kickstarter by selecting a reward tier if you pledge a certain amount of money. In return, you will receive a copy of Magic Number! The Kickstarter campaign will be live for 30 days after launch.

3) Post Campaign
If the Kickstarter campaign is successfully funded, that means you will be getting your copy of Magic Number! After the campaign ends, manufacturing will be able to start. It will take a few months for Magic Number to be produced, then shipped, so you will have to wait, unfortunately. However, we promise the wait will be worth it!

You will be able to get a copy of Magic Number for $25 (plus $5 for shipping) if you back us in the first 3 days after our Kickstarter campaign launches. We will make sure you know when the campaign will officially launch so you can grab Magic Number at it’s discounted price.

Magic Number will be available for $28 (plus $5 for shipping) throughout the rest of the Kickstarter campaign.

You should receive your copy sometime in August 2025!

As of now, the only place you’ll be able to buy Magic Number is on Kickstarter. However, we ultimately would love to sell Magic Number on other platforms once it is manufactured.
